Educational Assistance at Mariposa
North Carolina law requires all children to be enrolled in school at the age of 7 years old. Our Education and Curriculum Coordinator is a licensed special educator and can provide the following educational services to both families who attend Mariposa and to families that do not attend Mariposa. Testing and Assessment
Mariposa staff are available to provide the annual standardized testing required for learners enrolled in home schooled programs
IEP Review
Have your current IEP reviewed by a licensed special educator to clarify details, answer questionsand give advice about implementation across a variety of settings.

This service includes meeting with a licensed special educator prior to an IEP meeting to discuss proposed goals, general expectations for an IEP, and review general IEP processes. Our licensed special educator is also available to attend your IEP meeting as additional support for your learner.

Education Plan Writing
Academic programming is available for students who are of school age, starting at 7 years old and enrolled in either a home school or the Mariposa School educational program
